REGIONAL LEADERSHIP

Tomasz Hildt
Regional Director for the Middle East and Central & Eastern Europe
Tomasz Hildt is Regional Director of the Galien Foundation for the Middle East and Central & Eastern Europe, and of Prix Galien Middle East — the regional arm of the Prix Galien, the international distinction often described as the Nobel Prize of medical innovation. Working between Warsaw and the Gulf, he builds the institutional bridges between European science and Gulf capital that turn health innovation into scale.
For more than a decade his work has centred on healthcare and health innovation, advising pharmaceutical and medical-technology companies and leading regional players on market strategy, health-system engagement and innovation policy — with a practitioner’s understanding of how healthcare systems finance innovation and adopt new therapies. Since 2023 he has led the Galien Foundation across both regions, evolving Prix Galien from an award into a platform that connects scientists, health ministries, regulators, industry and investors, anchored by the Galien Forum 2026 in Warsaw and permanent Prix Galien institutions in the Gulf. His central interest lies in the future of healthcare systems: how precision medicine, genomics and data-driven care, alongside artificial intelligence and technological sovereignty, will reshape what health systems can deliver.
He is also the author of numerous works and studies on healthcare, the commercialisation of innovation and health systems.
